With temperatures forecast to be in the 90s on Friday, Verona will be opening the Verona Community Center and the Verona Public Library to serve as cooling centers.
The Community Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. while the Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Verona Police Department is asking all residents to check on their neighbors, especially if they are elderly.
