Verona’s public schools will have a delayed opening on Tuesday, February 16. All students should report at 10 a.m.
Winter Storm Olympia did far less damage in Verona than in other areas. We only have 1 to 2 inches of snow, but it is covered with ice now. Verona’s Department of Public Works has been out with its plows and sanders, but drivers should still use caution. There are also traffic alerts out on many of the major roads and bridges in our area.
PSE&G is reporting one minor power outage in our area.
Olympia is expected to turn into heavy rain later today.
