42 Durrell, just to the right of the red pushpin, has been subdivided.

The last few years have seen substantial changes on Durrell Street. Located on the north side of Verona in the F.N. Brown elementary school district, the street was, for decades, the home of the Bahr lumber and oil businesses. But Bahr closed in 2011 and in 2014 Lennar built 33 attached townhouses on the lumber yard that sold out quickly. The triangular plot of land across the street where Bahr used to park its oil trucks is being redeveloped as four single-family homes. A little bit down the street, five new homes were built on lots once owned by Fredco Properties.

But in between those new houses and the Bahr oil lot, there is a half-acre parcel at 42 Durrell with a small house on it. It has been owned since 2008 by general contractor Litana Development and was briefly listed for sale in November 2013 for $599,000. But the Verona real estate market has improved since then and the property is back on the market, with approval to build two homes on it.

The property is one of six new listings this snowy weekend. There are also seven open houses, but with the late-ending snow, you might want to call the listing broker to check their status before heading out. Here’s what’s happening in Verona real estate, from lowest priced to highest in each category:
