Jean Sandin, Former Verona Inn Owner

Candle3Mrs. Jean W. Sandin, 94, died on Oct. 5, 2015. Graveside services will be held in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Valley Road, Upper Montclair on Thursday, October 8 at 2 p.m.

Born and raised in Montclair, Mrs. Sandin has lived in Verona for 71 years.

Mrs. Sandin was a hairdresser at Rudolph & Cheer in Montclair and the co-owner, with her late husband, of the old Verona Inn in Verona.

She is the wife of the late Albert T. Sandin, the mother of Diana L. Askling and the grandmother of Barbara Bruso (and her husband, Christopher) and John D. Askling, Jr. (and his wife, Jolyne). She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Tyler, Haley and Jack.
