8th Graders Tapped For Lacrosse All-Star Game

GilGibbsLacrosseNorth Jersey’s top eighth-grade lacrosse players convened at Madison High School on Sunday, June 7, to participate in the prestigious Gil Gibbs All-Star Games.

Now in its 37th year, the 2015 All-Star tournament recognizes top junior and high school lacrosse players in the state. The Games celebrate the memory of legendary Montclair High School lacrosse coach Gil Gibbs and the impact he had on the growing sport of lacrosse in New Jersey.

Three players from Verona were among those selected to represent the New Jersey Junior Lacrosse League’s (NJJLL) Northeast Conference. The NJJLL Northeast Conference is comprised of teams from Bergen, Essex and Passaic Counties. The players selected were attackman Jarrod Keating; defenseman Matthew Aldiero and goalie Harrison Keating. The boys all performed well in the tournament.
