One-Act Comedies At VHS May 1

MyVeronaNJ-Family-Theater-WeekVerona High School’s Spotlight Players, in conjunction with the Spotlight Players Parents Association, will present an evening of student produced and directed one-act comedies on May 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s auditorium.

The One Act Festival this year will feature six one-act comedies directed by Gabe Riccitelli, Frances Metzger, Natalie DeRosa, Liam Lawless, Joe Anello, Miranda Williams, Ryan Vail, Mia Corbett and Alana Murphy. The cast features Chloe Christen, Anna Shea, Mia Corbett, Arianne Valderamma, Owen Yarmo-Gray, Rayna Newkirk, Ryan Lavoie, Katie Fernandez, Matt Masucci, Nick Kast, Joe Anello, Kayla Drozdowski, Liam Lawless, Dan Messineo, Anthony Giuliano, Rachael Weir, Natalie DeRosa, Rachelle Smith, Ava Vasalani, Anna Serra, Lauren Zanders , Dylan Gallagher, Cathy Cordero, Matt Sarett and Dani Smith. All proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit the SPPA Scholarship Fund.

The performances will be evaluated by a panel of theater professionals then awards will be presented to the winning ensemble, and for outstanding direction, as well as male and female permances. The two top scoring One Acts will also be presented again at the Verona High School Creative Arts Festival on May 20.
