Chivily Honored At Women’s Sports Day

Chivily-SportsDay1On Sunday, February 1, New Jersey celebrated the 29th anniversary of National Girls & Women in Sports Day. The awards ceremony, which took place at Seton Hall University, honored outstanding high school and college/university female athletes.

This year, over 140 high school female student athletes were honored as NAGWS recipients. Every high school in New Jersey has the ability to participate and recognize a deserving female student athlete. This year Verona High School was represented by Caroline Chivily.

Chivily was recognized for her academic standing and her accomplishments in both tennis and softball throughout her time at Verona High School. She shared in the day with her parents, Phil and Christina, and her softball coach, Angela Salisbury.
