Its doors have only been open for a little more than two months, but Ariane Kitchen & Bar is already drawing attention from outside Verona.
On January 12, the new restaurant from Ariane and Michael Duarte and John MacEvoy made New Jersey Monthly‘s list of the 20 best new restaurants.
Then on January 23, AKB got a “very good” rating in a review by New York Times critic Fran Schumer. Here’s a sample:
As for dessert, really, if you simply had to close your eyes and point, you could not go wrong. Eyes open, I’d choose the banana cream pie with bits of caramelized banana or the apple pear tart, two ordinary desserts that at Ariane are the best of their kind.
