Playing at home, the two teams were evenly matched in the first two quarters, and the first half ended with Millburn up by only two points. But the Millers put 18 points on the scoreboard in the third quarter, to just two from the Hillbillies. Verona regrouped and scored 21 points in the fourth.
Will Mulderry, a senior, was the top scorer for Verona with 14 points, followed by junior Dave Gautieri with 10. But Millburn’s Max Jacobs blew everybody else away with 28 points on the afternoon.
