WaterBottlesIt’s time for the sixth annual Verona Environmental Commission poster contest, and this year’s theme is “Sustainable Verona”.

Living sustainably is about living within what our environment can support and ensuring that our lifestyle doesn’t harm others. Walking or biking to school, turning off cars while parked, buying locally, recycling and using reusable water bottles are just a few ways to make Verona more sustainable!

The contest is open to Verona public school students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Entries are due October 8.

Posters should be letter size or under 11 by 14 inches. Include your name and grade on the back. Drop your poster in your school’s collection box on or before Walk to School Day.

All posters will be displayed in participating schools. Winners will receive $50 and an award certificate from Verona’s mayor.
