Library Offers Prizes, Entertainment For Summer Reading

By on July 2, 2014

SummerReading2014The Verona Public Library is once again doing its part to encourage summer reading in Verona. Elementary school children, pre-teens and even children who aren’t reading yet can participate by going to the library’s Children’s Department and picking up a reading log and summer book tote.

For pre-readers and elementary school readers, the library has set a goal of at least two hours of reading each week. These readers should write the title of the book they’re reading and how long they read at each sitting in their log book. After reading for two hours, children can return to the library with their log for a prize. There will be a new prize each week.
