MyVeronaNJ-Free-ConcertThe Township of Verona continues its summer outdoor concerts for the tenth year. By popular demand, the three July concerts are held at the Civic Center Square in front of Town Hall, 600 Bloomfield Avenue, and the August concert will be held at the Verona Community Pool, 257 Fairview Avenue.

The concerts, presented by Wells Fargo, are held on Wednesday evenings, July 9, 16, 23 and August 20 at 7 p.m. These performances, featuring diverse artists set on an outdoor stage, will showcase a variety of musical styles from popular favorites and classic rock n’ roll to summer party favorites.

The Verona Mayor and Council give special thanks to Wells Fargo, the hosts Verona UNICO, Investors Bank, Verona Municipal Alliance Committee, McEnerney, Brady & Co. and Samuel Klein & Co. and Verona-Cedar Grove Times as media sponsor.

“Verona’s Summer Concert series has always been something I look forward to with great anticipation. Regardless of whatever act is performing, we are always very fortunate to get a wide variety of top shelf talent that basically offers something for everyone. Even before I was on the Council, I was always thrilled to see the number of people, both residents of Verona, as well as neighbors from surrounding towns who come out to just sit and enjoy a free concert on a nice summer, midweek night. The town really shines on these nights, and people come away with a genuine feeling of warmth (not just from the heat), and community pride. From the looks of the schedule, I am certain that this year’s series is going to be another resounding success, and I can’t wait to be in the audience” notes Bob Manley, Verona Township Mayor.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs, blankets and picnics to the concerts held at the Civic Center Square. Many of Verona restaurants will be open to take your picnic orders.

The August 20th concert, held at the Verona Pool, will be open to Verona residents only. Purchase your favorite summer foods and beverages from the snack bar.
