You may have seen Carlo Calabrese Jr. around Verona in the past week, but his Twitter feed this morning says he’s headed to Cleveland. Calabrese, a former linebacker for Notre Dame and a 2009 graduate of Verona High School, has signed a free-agent contract with the Cleveland Browns.

According to Notre Dame Athletics, Calabrese played in 49 games over his career and started 26, including all 13 games in 2013. He had 239 career tackles, the most of any Fighting Irish player at the end of the 2013 season.

With the signing, Calabrese becomes the third Verona High School football player in the NFL. Anthony Fasano is a tight end with the Kansas City Chiefs and Dan DePalma is on the practice squad of the San Diego Chargers.
