Track Teams Take 2nd, 5th At Ramsey Relays

RamsayRelays1The Verona High School boys and girls track & field teams did well at the Twin Boro Relays at Ramsey High School on Saturday. The girls finished second in the small schools division, while the boys were fifth. Alexis Duhaney finished first in the Frosh 100m in a field of over 30 competitors. The Essex County Relay Championships will be Friday, May 2 at Livingston High School.

Varsity Girls:

  • First Place, High Jump: Angel Barkley, Jasmine Okafor, Caroline Kirnan
  • Second Place, 3 x 400m Hurdles: Sarah Conboy, Jessica Williams, Madeline Burke
  • Second Place, Pole Vault: Cristina Calandra, Tara Hull, Michaela Fogarty
  • Fifth Place, Javelin: Christina Carlucci, Jasmine Okafor, Jessica Hall
  • Sixth Place, Long Jump: Jackie Brunner, Jessica Williams, Caroline Kirnan
  • Sixth Place Distance Medley: Sarah Conboy, Angel Barkley, Emily Petermann, Amanda Flores
  • First Place, Frosh 100m: Alexis Duhaney
  • Fourth Place, Novice Javelin: Emma Francullo, Diana Flores

Varsity Boys:

  • Second Place, 3 x400mH: Chris Sweeney, Austin Williams, Anthony Giuliano
  • Third Place, 110 mHH: Chris Sweeney
  • Fifth Place, Sprint Medley: Matt Intili, Chris Sweeney, Chris Valentine, Ryan Ramsthaler
  • Fifth Place, High-Jump: Fernando Beltran, Austin Williams, Peter Marlo
  • Fifth Place, Javelin: Christian Grund, Matt Riccitelli, Larry Studwell
  • Sixth Place, Discus: Fernando Beltran, Dan Watabe, Kyle Kanzanfer
