Caregiving 101: Register Now For Free Talk

MyVeronaNJ-Senior-Care-SlideIf you are caring for an elderly parent or other senior, you might want to know about this upcoming free dinner presentation from the United Way of Northern New Jersey.

“Caregiving 101 – Where to Start” will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at the Verona Community Center from 6 to 8 p.m. The presenter is Stacey Joyce, professional care manager at Carative Care Managers, and dinner will be provided by VITAS Innovative Hospice Care.

The dinner is for family, friends and neighbors acting as unpaid caregivers for the elderly. If you would like to attend call the United Way’s Deborah Day at 973.746.4040, x209 or send an e-mail.

As part of the United Way’s grant from the Essex County Division of Senior Services, this presentation will be videotaped and made available on DVD and online. Caregivers in attendance will not be videotaped to protect their privacy.
