Members of the Verona 8U and 10U Barnstormers travel softball teams spent last weekend at a softball camp run by former U.S. Olympic women’s softball gold medalists.

Called the Jennie Finch Extravaganza, the camp featured Jennie Finch, Crystl Bustos, Natasha Watley and Amanda Freed, who won gold in the 2000 and 2004 Olympic games.

The girls got instruction on hitting, fielding, pitching and all-around softball instruction to prepare them for this spring season. The camp was held at Healthquest Sports Dome  in Flemington, N.J. Their coaches say it was an amazing experience that the girls will always remember.
