Fire and love often go together: Consider U2’s Sweet Fire Of Love or the Elvis classic Burning Love. So it probably shouldn’t surprise you that when a member of the Verona Fire Department gets married his fellow volunteers show up–with a fire truck.

Verona Firefighter Nick Poliseno, the son of Paul and Lucille Poliseno of Verona, recently married Christina Fassett, the daughter of Wayne and Nancy Fassett of Bloomfield. The VFD brought a rig to the wedding at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church in Nutley for a photo with the bride and groom. That’s Nick and Christina in the center, with groomsman CT Magatti and Chief Pat McEvoy to the left, and Nick’s father and fellow firefighter Paul Poliseno to the right. It’s today’s “Verona View”.

“Verona View” is a new daily photo feature from MyVeronaNJ.com that highlights Verona people, places and events. Take a photo with your camera phone, DSLR or anything in between and send it in. MyVeronaNJ.com will feature one reader photo every day. To submit your photo, email it, or text it to 973-632-4015, or post it to our Facebook page.
