Did you know that Lyndon Johnson mandated that only American wines could be served at the White House when he was president?
You’ll learn lots about the wine preferences of America’s presidents at the Presidential Wine Tasting that will be held on Sunday, November 4 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Israel Crane House in Montclair. The event has been organized by Verona resident Jane Eliasof, who is the executive director of the Montclair Historical Society.
There will be both history and wine to savor, and the cost is just $55 for non-members and $50 for members, with all proceeds benefiting MHS’s preservation and educational efforts.
