For today’s “Verona View”, young people at the First Presbyterian Church of Verona have been busy catching the fish to remind you that the church’s big Fish and Chips dinner is tonight, Friday, October 26. The food will be prepared by the Argyle Restaurant of Kearny. Sit-down dinners will be served at the church, 10 Fairview Avenue, between 6 and 7:30 p.m. A take-out window will be open at 5:30 p.m. Proceeds will go towards much needed repairs of the church steeple and a weekly lunch program makes a healthy lunch for low-income students. Dinner costs $15 and includes a choice entrée of fish or chicken, french fries, coleslaw, a cold beverage, coffee and dessert. By the way, the fishermen above include Allana and Willow Pomponio, Emily and Katherine Carano, James Shorten, Colin Vega, Samantha Primavera, Samantha Biss, Kayla and Stella Kim, Stephen McDonald, and Grace McGough.

“Verona View” is a new daily photo feature from MyVeronaNJ.com that highlights people, places and events in Verona, N.J.
