The Montclair Art Museum will be hosting its fall fundraiser on November 2. Called “Smokin’ Hot Barbecue”, it is inspired by the southwestern style of the museum’s current featured exhibit, Georgia O’Keeffe in New Mexico and will include DJs from WFUV, food from Ruthie’s BBQ, and margaritas and mixology by Egan & Sons, as well as a silent auction.
The event runs from 7 to 10 p.m. and costs $75 for members and $100 for non-members. Attendees who purchase a membership at the Family level when they buy their ticket will get 10% off that membership. Guests must be 21 or older. Call 973-259-5143 or send an email to get your tickets.
The museum also has launched a new community program, Free First Thursday Nights. Entrance is free on the first Thursday of the month, with extended hours from 5 to 9 p.m. These evenings include tours of exhibitions, a full-service bar, live music, art activities, and unique programming. More than 400 people were at the first event on October 4. Free First Thursday Nights are offered in partnership with Egan & Sons.
The next event is Thursday, November 1 and you can see the full schedule here.
