At last week’s graduation, the Class of 2012’s salutatorian, Filip Babalievsky, made a point of noting that many them would be venturing far from Verona soon.
And so they are, to gap years and careers, to the military, and to colleges in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, New Hampshire, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Washington, D.C. But don’t worry, plenty of them will also be pursuing higher education right here in New Jersey and, and Bablievsky noted, many of his classmates will eventually come back to Verona.
