The First Congregational Church of Verona is inviting the community to stop by on Sundays in March for the viewing of NOVA’s landmark PBS film, “The Bible’s Buried Secrets”. The church says the show is an “archeological detective story” that takes a modern-day look at how did the worship of one God emerged and became the foundation of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. This film provides insight into deeper meanings of the biblical texts and their resonance through the centuries.

The viewing and discussion will follow First Congregational’s regular Sunday worship and coffee hour, which begins at 10 a.m. First Congregational is located on Church Street, just up the street from the Rescue Squad Building between Bloomfield and Claremont avenues. Please call the church office at 973-239-2312 if you need further information.
