Bucknell University has announced that Meghan Fitzpatrick, a junior from Verona, has been chosen to be one of the co-captains of the 2012 women’s soccer team. Fitzpatrick returned to the Bucknell lineup in 2011 after missing all of her first two seasons due to injury. This fall she started eight games on defense before being sidelined by another injury. While on the field she was a key contributor on a team that allowed only 19 goals this season, the second-fewest in program history. She also made the Capital One Academic All-District Team with a stellar 3.98 GPA.
