U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. is hosting his annual Veterans Fair this Saturday, and this year it will have a special focus on federal coverage for traumatic brain injury treatment and helping veterans to get jobs.
The event will be at the V.F.W. Post 6255 in Cedar Grove from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Among the veterans’ service providers expected to attend are suicide prevention professionals from the East Orange Veterans Administration Hospital. Representatives from the G.I. Go Fund, a nonprofit charitable organization that provides transition assistance to veterans of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as support, recognition, and gratitude to all servicemen and women.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs New Jersey Healthcare System, the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, the Department of Housing and Urban
Development, and the Small Business Administration will also be represented at the Veterans Fair.
VA Medical staff will be available to take blood pressure readings and disburse flu shots free of charge.
