Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. and the Citizens Committee of the Presby Memorial Iris Gardens are inviting the public to view an elaborate display of carved botanic, floral and nature-themed pumpkins created by local artists and students at “Gardens Aglow” at the Essex County Presby Memorial Iris Gardens in Upper Montclair. Local artists and residents are encouraged to bring their own botanical-themed carved pumpkins to decorate the Iris Gardens in a community jack-o-lantern lighting. The event will be held on Friday, October 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. The Presby gardens are located at 474 Upper Mountain Avenue in Upper Montclair.
If you bring your own pumpkin, the County will provide the candles. Residents should label the bottom of their pumpkin with a permanent marker. There will be activities for children, live music and seasonal refreshments will be available. Prizes will be awarded.
Admission is free, but registration is required in advance. For information, please call 973-783-5974 or e-mail [email protected].
