Bye Bye Car

This is what’s left of the car formerly known as Glenn Houthuysen’s. There are downed trees in several areas of own, including one that punched a hole in a house on Linden. The Verona Public Works Department is working to clear them.

The Verona Police Department is asking that “unless absolutely necessary”, you avoid travel for the rest of the day. The VPD says that, if your utilities are out, contact the utility company directly because it has not given the police any estimates on repairs. (We’ve got a call in to PSE&G too). But if you see anything that looks dangerous, please contact the police.
