The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame kick off their 2011 season at home against South Florida on September 3 and Verona native Carlo Calabrese is looking to be there. The Chicago Tribune says that the linebacker is in better shape than ever thanks to a grueling workout regimen this summer that also included convincing his mom to make some changes to her cooking.
A Notre Dame fan site caught up with Calabrese in practice earlier this month.
