Your Endorsements

MyVeronaNJ.com is not making election endorsements, in the 2011 Town Council race or in any other campaign. We feel it is our roll to present information on the candidates and campaign issues, and let you decide. Which is exactly what you have been doing.

Over the last few days, we’ve heard your opinions at sports, school and community events. We’ve gotten dozens of your e-mails. Now it’s your turn to tell our readers who you are voting for, and why. Until the polls close on Tuesday, we are offering you a chance to use this Web site to tell Verona, and our readers beyond town–who your choices are.

We’re going to keep things simple. Use the comments field below and follow our Comments Policy. That means that you need to post your endorsement under your real name, with your real e-mail address. You need to make an endorsement, not a diatribe, and you need to keep your language family friendly.

So Verona, tell us: Who do you support in the 2011 Town Council election? Remember, there are four candidates running for a single two-year seat: Jim Robbins, Kevin Ryan, Gerard Tamburino and Bruce Williams. The other four candidates are running for two four-year spots: Rob Caruso, Dan McGinley, Michael Nochimson and Frank Sapienza.

If you haven’t made your decision yet, read the pages in our Election Guide and watch the videos taken at the MyVeronaNJ election forum on May 3. But most of all, take your opinion to the polls Tuesday and VOTE.

  1. Hi MyVeronaNJ: My candidate for the two year term is Jim Robbins. He has the educational background and prior council experience to best serve our town. I haven’t yet decided on the four-year candidates yet but I’ll make a further posting when I decide. Thanks for this forum!
