If you want to know how local government is going to muck through the tough budget scenario that Governor Chris Christie unveiled yesterday, you need to be in West Caldwell for breakfast on March 3.

The League of Women Voters of the Montclair Area and the North Essex Chamber of Commerce are holding their annual “Meet The Mayors” breakfast. The mayors of Bloomfield, Caldwell, Cedar Grove, Clifton, Essex Fells, Fairfield, Glen Ridge, Little Falls, Montclair, North Caldwell, Roseland, Verona, West Caldwell and West Orange have all been invited to participate.

The breakfast, which is free, will be held on Thursday, March 3 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Crane’s Mill, 459 Passaic Avenue, West Caldwell. But if you want to go, you need to register in advance right now. To do so, call the North Essex Chamber of Commerce at (973) 226-5500 or send an e-mail.
