The Eagles B-team rolled to an impressive 26-0 victory over the Fairfield Falcons Saturday afternoon in Fairfield.

Unhappy with his team’s lackluster performance against Nutley, Coach DeLuisi worked his team hard in practice, and it showed. The O-line dominated their opponents. Austin Camp, Zach Skrivanic, Travis Jocelyn, Andrew Leuhs, Matthew Gautieri, and Chris Lonergan opened huge holes for the backs to run through. Mike Mughetto had a 14-yard run to the 1, which set up Zach Zaccone’s run for the Eagles first score of the day. Z passed to Colin Keirnan for the extra point and the Eagles were on their way.

Matt Zaccone had another of his weekly acrobatic catches down the right sideline for a 23-yard gain. A few plays later, Jake “Hoot” Houthysen jetted down the left sideline for a 45-yard TD run. The final two scores belonged to Christopher Aldiero. Aldo scored on runs of 54 yards and 5 yards. Again, Coach Ed Shields’ defense was too much for their opponent. Michael Stanisci and Wade Kistner each made big plays to secure the Eagles fifth shutout in seven games. Overall the B-Team has outscored its opponents 129-12.

This Sunday, the Eagles play East Hanover at Centennial Field in their final regular season game.
