The Verona Health Department, in cooperation with Mountainside Hospital, is sponsoring a cholesterol screening on Monday, October 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. The test, which costs $12 or $8 for seniors, includes an LDL, HDL and total cholesterol/HDl ratio. Educational materials and individual counseling will also be provided. The screening will be at the Verona Health Department, which is in the Community Center. If you want to be tested, you need to make an appointment by calling 973-239-4800.
