VHS Senior Rebecca Slotkin has been selected to pole vault in the exclusive Penn Relays next weekend at Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.

Slotkin, who recently set a school record by clearing 11’6 in the pole vault, will be competing  against the most elite high school athletes from all over the country. According to organizers of the Relays, which began as an inter-collegiate event in 1895, more than half of the 22,000 entries in this year’s event are high school athletes. Attendance at the event, which runs April 22 to 24, is expected to top 110,000.

Congratulations to Rebecca and good luck!
