Fred Hill Jr. To Leave Rutgers Basketball

Former Verona resident Fred Hill Jr. has reportedly accepted a settlement from Rutgers University to step down as basketball coach. Hill had been coaching at Rutgers since 2006 and posted a career record of 47-77.  Rutgers confirmed Hill’s resignation last night, but declined to discuss details of the settlement, which the Star Ledger reported here.
