By on September 12, 2018

The Verona Recreation Department is changing the dates for the guided meditation class it will be offering this fall.

Psychotherapist and Karuna Relaxation Reiki® Master Sue Waldman will facilitate a relaxed, comforting and peaceful guided meditation. Using breath work, Karuna Reiki®, aromatherapy, Tibetan chimes, and aromatherapy, learn the techniques of quieting your mind and enjoy the deep, lasting benefits of this ancient practice on your mind, body and spirit. Outcomes such as: reduction of stress, increased ability to concentrate, freedom from detrimental patterns of thought, emotion and behavior, increased learning, improved memory and health.

The class will be now held on five Tuesdays at the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Avenue, from 8 to 8:45 p.m. The sessions are September 18, and then October 9, 16, 23 and 30. The cost to participate is $75 and advance registration is required through the Recreation Department’s Community Pass system. No experience needed. Wear comfortable and layered clothes.

Give yourself the gift of connecting with your heart, spirit and body. Mindfulness, as a way of life, focuses on cultivating a wholesome mind that will produce positive thoughts that contribute to your well being, simultaneously, the well-being of the whole world.
