There are 600 community gardens in New York City, and community gardens in several towns in New Jersey. Their produce is consumed by the individuals who grow it, or used in the community, often in food banks that are hard-pressed to have fresh vegetables on hand.

Now Verona township officials would like to know whether residents want a garden here, and what they will do to make it a success. To that end it has created a brief survey, which you can take here.

There’s no word yet on where the garden would be located.
