Verona High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan Brown as the Head Girls’ Volleyball Coach for Verona High School. A graduate of Wayne Valley High School, Coach Brown brings seven years of playing and coaching experience to our program. He spent the past year as an assistant varsity coach at Wayne Valley High School, helping guide his alma mater to a state sectional championship. He has gained training and coaching experience on the club volleyball circuit, coaching both boys and girls national and regional teams. As a player, Mr. Brown was voted the best libero in the state by New Jersey High School Sports.
Coach Brown indicated he was excited to continue the winning tradition at Verona High School, while becoming an active part of developing our athletes to achieve their full potential. Coach Brown believes in developing the individual and helping the team appreciate a love for volleyball from a young age. Throughout the interview process, Coach Brown stressed the importance of the learning process in scholastic athletics and believes his positive attitude and persistence models the important attributes of a successful volleyball program.
Coach Brown will complete his bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education and Special Education from Montclair State University in May of 2019. Please join us in welcoming Coach Brown to Verona as our new head volleyball coach.
