Verona Park Cleanup April 14
The Verona Environmental Commission and the Verona Park Conservancy will be holding a cleanup of Verona Park and Verona Lake this Saturday, April 14. If you can help, you meet the organizers at 9 a.m. near the Boathouse, and they are asking that you sign in at the VEC table when you arrive.
All volunteers must sign Essex County Park waivers at the event or print and fill out this waiver and bring it to the event. Volunteers under age 18 must have the signature of their parent or legal guardian.
The VEC and VPC will have gloves, trash bags, long handled nets and a rowboat. They ask that volunteers bring their own water, a pen and a fan rake or other tool that you may have to help remove litter from the shore line.
The Verona Baseball & Softball League’s Opening Day Parade was rescheduled for April 14 as well. This may have some impact on accessibility to the park so please afford yourself extra time to get to the boathouse.
