Woman’s Club Gets Grant For ESL Program
The General Federation of Woman’s Clubs of Washington, D.C., granted a $200 Focus on Literacy Grant to the Woman’s Club of Verona. The Woman’s Club of Verona bestowed the grant to the Verona Public Library for a new program “English as a Second Language”.
The ESL Conversation Group allows adults to practice their English skills. It meets on Mondays in the Library’s temporary location at the Verona Community Center Annex at 6:30 p.m. and it is open to adults at all skill levels.
