Applications for the 2018 Minette’s Angels scholarship are now open. A $1,000 scholarship is available to two graduating residents of Verona who will be attending a four-year college and majoring in the healthcare field, with a preference given to nursing majors.
The scholarship application is available for download on the Minette’s Angels Foundation website. Please submit all applications before April 15.
The Minette’s Angels Foundation was created in 2004 to honor the late Minette Grosso McKenna, a Verona resident and nurse who passed away from breast cancer in 2003. In addition to its scholarships, the Foundation supports breast cancer patients and their families, as well as breast cancer research and treatment facilities at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. The Minette’s Angels Foundation will hold its Celebration of Angels gala on Thursday, April 26, at The Park Savoy in Florham Park, and will honor the Reverend Michael A. Hanly, Myriad Genetic Laboratories and Dr. and Mrs. Michael Scoppetuolo.
