Verona High School’s fall play is the comedy The Curious Savage. And this year, the Spotlight Players are trying two new things: online ticketing and a Saturday matinee performance. That means you’ll have four chances to see what happens when greedy stepchildren try to battle the eccentric Ethel P. Savage for the family fortune.
This year’s performances will be Thursday and Friday, November 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, November 18 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students, with a special $5 price for students at the Thursday evening performance. You can get your tickets online here.
Here’s what the Spotlight Players are saying about the show: “Watch Ava Vasalani as the inimitable Ethel Savage navigate new friendships with the patients Fairy (Maya Fortgang), Hannibal (Aidan Caillari), Florence (Rachel Weir), Jeff (David Karpinski), and Mrs. Paddy (Gemma Conlon), while deftly avoiding the pleas from her stepchildren Titus (Alex Kosulin), Lily Belle (Sara Sexton), and Samuel (Buster Shick). Miss Willy (Molly Ligon) and Dr. Emmett (Liz Barile) try to keep the home together, but who knows what will happen when Ethel is involved…”
