Real Estate: New Listings, Price Cuts

There are five new listings in Verona real estate this weekend–and almost as many older listings undergoing price cuts. Of note in the new listings: an emphasis on formal dining spaces. For all the buzz around open floor plans, some buyers still prefer distinct spaces for distinct activities in a home.

As for the four listings with newly lowered prices, even a hot seller’s market occasionally gets ahead of itself. Here’s what’s happening around Verona real estate, from lowest priced to highest in each category:

NEW LISTINGS

120 Claremont Avenue: 3 beds, 1 1/2 baths. Updated main bath. Laning district. $329,000.
36 Westover Road: 3 beds, 1 bath. Formal dining room, detached garage. $379,000.
73 Claremont Avenue: 3 beds, 1 1/2 baths.  Open floor plan, recently renovated kitchen. $379,900. Open house Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.
32 Derwent Avenue: 4 beds, 2 baths. Formal dining room, close to Verona center. $389,900.
2 Claridge Drive #6HW: 3 bed, 3 bath condo in full-service high-rise building. Chef’s kitchen, 3 walk-in closets. $749,000.

73 Claremont Avenue: 3 beds, 1 1/2 baths.  Open floor plan, recently renovated kitchen. $379,900. Open house Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.
11 Franklin Street: 3 beds, 2 baths. Deck, patio, refinished floors. Price cut $20,000 to $429,900. Open house Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

PRICE CHANGES

11 Franklin Street: 3 beds, 2 baths. Deck, patio, refinished floors. Price cut $20,000 to $429,900. Open house Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.
59 Mount Prospect Avenue: 5 beds, 2 1/2 baths. Split-level with separate entrance to professional space on ground floor. Cut another $20,000 to $439,000.
33 Cumberland Avenue: 6 bed, 2 bath two-family with ample parking near center of town. Cut another $24,000 to $475,000.
