Verona High School runner Zoie Petronzo (shown here winning her heat in the 200m at this spring’s State Sectional Championships) was one of the first registrants for the St. Catherine’s 5K.

On Saturday, October 28, St. Catherine of Siena Parish will host a USATF-Grand Prix 5K and Fun-Fit Mile. At 9:15 a.m., the 5K starts at Cedar Grove High School, goes through suburban streets on exclusively paved roadway with downhills to gather steam and uphills to challenge your skills, and finishes at the 50-yard line of CGHS’ beautiful new track. The Fun-Fit Mile–four laps around the high school track — begins at 8:45 a.m.; participants may walk all or part of the mile. Non-run-or-walk supporters are encouraged to register as a walker and simply come, pick up your T-thirt and cheer on participants as they cross the finish line! Supporters may also sponsor a runner or walker.
