U9FirefliesThe Verona United Fireflies (U9G) girls soccer team ended the spring soccer season on Sunday with a perfect 9-0-0 record. The Fireflies also won the U9G B flight in the Northern Counties Soccer Association League.

The girls more than mastered their opponents this season, after moving up two flights from D to B. The Fireflies, who are coached by Paul and Charlene DiNatale and Red Bulls trainer Britt Wagner, led their flight with 45 goals scored and a stifling defense. Some of the girls have been playing together since kindergarten.
