Verona Kids Rock Honor Earth Day
By Staff Report on April 24, 2017
Verona Kids Rock, a group of elementary school students who do community service, honored Earth Day this weekend.
First, to keep the planet clean, they picked up trash in a wooded area in Verona where they bagged about 15 large trash bags on Sunday, April 23. They worked hard for about an hour and half, and kept smiling along the way.
They also shared their love for the planet by delivering a special plant to someone they care about. One of Anna Belle Lilley’s choices was her 92-year-old great grandmother.
