First Presbyterian Church of Verona will present clinician and William Paterson University Music Professor, Dr. Lauren Fowler-Calisto in a vocal workshop on Saturday, March 25.
The event is free and open to the public. All ages and levels of experience are welcome to participate.
Dr. Fowler-Calisto will incorporate Vocal Pedagogy, Alexander Technique, Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Kodaly, as well as repertoire during each session.
The schedule is as follows:
9 a.m. to noon: adults and teens, ending with singing Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” from Messiah
1 to 2 p.m.: pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade
2 to 3 p.m.: 5th through 8th grade
A concession table is available for purchasing water and snacks. Donations for future music programs are always welcome. The program is made possible through funding from the Plansoen Foundation Grant.
