vintage-phoneWhile a growing group of his constituents have been calling on him to hold an in-person town hall meeting, Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, the Republican who represents Verona in Congress, has been favoring virtual town halls over the phone.

But Frelinghuysen’s office announced today that he is postponing the Telephone Town Hall meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. today until 5 p.m. on Monday, March 20, because of the snow storm and the state of emergency declared by Governor Christie. Frelinghuysen’s press secretary did not respond to an email asking why a virtual town hall would have to be cancelled by bad weather.

Constituents interested in participating next Monday can call one of Frelinghuysen’s offices (973-984-0711 or 202-225-5034), and give the staff their telephone number, which will then be added to the dial-out list. Constituents can also sign up for the call through Frelinghuysen’s website.
