The Verona Public Library will host a day of Irish celebration with musicians McDermott’s Handy on Saturday, March 11. The day will consist of two programs: Songs and Stories for children at 11:00 am and a performance of traditional Irish music for all ages at 2 p.m.
Delaware Valley Irish Hall of Fame musicians Kathy DeAngelo and Dennis Gormley have been performing together as McDermott’s Handy since 1979. These talented multi-instrumentalists combine their strong vocals with Celtic harp, fiddle, guitar and tin whistle.
Take a musical journey through Irish history with a wide variety harp repertoire, folk songs, and Irish music styles that tell the story of the Irish.
