Candle3Mrs. Wilma P. Freeman, 90, died peacefully on January 12, 2017 at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge. A funeral mass will be offered in St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Church of the Immaculate Conception, Montclair on Saturday, January 14 at 9:00 a.m.

Born in Newark, Mrs. Freeman lived in Montclair and West Orange prior to moving to Verona 62 years ago, where she was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church, Catholic Daughters, and the Verona Women’s Club. Singing in local venues during the Big Band Era, she was then a devoted homemaker all of her life and also assisted in the family’s printing business, Bengal Press, Inc.

Mrs. Freeman was the beloved wife of 60 years of the late William J. Freeman, the loving mother of John T. Freeman, Patricia F. Benincasa (Charles) and William P. Freeman (Linda) and the cherished grandmother of Christine Benincasa Van Etten (Brian), Mary Benincasa, William Freeman, Anna Freeman, Ryan Freeman, Andrew Freeman, Connor Freeman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
