You probably know by now that Verona High School has long had a joint hockey team with Glen Ridge High School. But did you know that there’s a VGR Middle School team too?
Last year, the middle school team, which is a feeder for the high school program, took second place in their division against West Essex. So if you want to see what’s possible in middle school hockey now and what the varsity VGR team might look like in the future, come out to cheer them on at Floyd Hall Arena on the Montclair State University campus. All games are free and you can access the full schedule here.
The VGR Middle School team’s next game is Wednesday, December 21 at 5 p.m. against Passaic Valley. The match will be held in the Vega rink at Floyd Hall.
