1:42 PM Officer Stephanie Colon took a report of lost property from a Claridge Drive resident. The resident stated that he lost his New Jersey driver’s license. He was advised to contact the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission to obtain a duplicate license.

3:43 PM Officer Michael Barone took a report of a dog bite from a Hopedale, Mass. resident. The victim reported that he was bitten by a dog while in a Bloomfield Avenue business. The dog owner reported the dog was secured inside the business when the bite occurred and is up to date on all shots.

5:58 PM Officer Steve Young took a report of a burglary from a Fairview Avenue resident. The resident reported several power tools were taken from his unlocked basement over the past few weeks. Value of the missing items is approximately $500.

11:14 AM Lt. Michael Ruglio took a report of a lost wallet from a Bloomfield Avenue resident. The resident reported that he lost his wallet. The wallet contained medical cards, Social Security card and New Jersey driver’s license. The resident was in the process of contacting all of the agencies to replace the identification cards.
6:54 PM Sgt. Dave Wardrope took a report of harassment from a Gerdes Avenue resident. The resident reported that a neighbor was shining a light into his home. Officers were only able to locate a lamppost that was casting light towards the front of the complainant’s house. The complainant felt that there was an additional light that was now turned off. All parties were advised of complaint procedures.

12:26 AM Officer Robert Juliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Mt. Prospect Avenue for an observed violation. A check of the operator’s credentials revealed an active warrant from the Bucks County Pennsylvania Sheriffs Department. The operator, Charles Williams of Newark, was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. After processing, Williams was transported to the Essex County Jail to await extradition to Pennsylvania.
2:04 PM Officer Brendan Huber conducted a motor vehicle stop on Bloomfield Avenue due to an expired registration. Upon checking the operator’s credentials, an active warrant from the East Orange Municipal court was discovered for the operator. The operator, Demetrice Canty of Newark, was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. After processing Canty was released with a new court date for East Orange Municipal Court.
6:50 PM Officer Giovani DeSomma took a report of a dispute from a Robbinsville resident. The resident reported that he was involved in a road rage incident with another motorist. He reported that the other motorist was following him too closely and a verbal dispute ensued. The other driver then threw an object at his vehicle. The other vehicle then left the area. He was advised of complaint procedures.
6:57 PM Officer Giovanni DeSomma took a report of a motorist dispute on Bloomfield Avenue from a Caldwell resident. The resident reported that he had a dispute with a pedestrian who was crossing the street but not in a crosswalk. He stated there was a verbal dispute and the pedestrian threw a cup of coffee at him. The pedestrian stated the motorist accelerated his vehicle towards him and he got scared and the coffee cup flew out of his hand. Both parties were advised of complaint procedures.
7:23 PM Officer Stephanie Colon took a report of fraud from a West Orange resident. The resident reported that she went to a pharmacy to pick up her prescription and was advised that the prescription had already been picked up a few days ago. When she requested the store to check the surveillance video, she was advised that it was not working. The resident advised that this was the second similar incident at this pharmacy.

12:47 AM Officer Robert Juliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Bloomfield Avenue after a random check of the vehicle registration showed an active warrant for the vehicle owner. After obtaining the operators credentials, a warrant from the Irvington Municipal Court was confirmed. The operator, Jeff Jeanpierre of Union, was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. After processing, Jeanpierre posted bail and was released.
4:36 AM Officer Robert Juliano took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle from a Martin road resident. The resident reported that when he exited his house, he observed his driver’s side door open. Upon entering the vehicle, he observed items strewn about the vehicle. He also reported that he observed two males on the corner of Claremont Avenue and Martin Road who fled the area prior to officers arrival. Officers checked the area for the subjects with negative results.
7:16 AM Officer Brain McMahon took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle from a Linden Avenue resident. The resident reported that his vehicle was entered during the overnight hours. Approximately $10 in cash is reported missing at this time.
8:23 AM Officer Brendan Huber took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle from a Martin Road resident. The resident reported that her vehicle was entered during the overnight hours. The resident reported that nothing appears to be missing at this time.
4:50 PM Officer Giovanni DeSomma took a report of found property from a Lakeview Place resident. The resident reported finding a cell phone at the intersection of Lakeside Avenue and Bloomfield Avenue. The phone was placed into property until the owner can be identified.

9:16 AM Officer Brian McMahon took a report of a fraud from a South Prospect Street resident. The resident reported that she received an email from Verizon stating that an iPhone had been ordered on her account and shipped to an address in New York. She contacted Verizon and advised them she did not place the order. Verizon advised her that she would not be charged.
